Are You Fair Dinkum in This Lent?

Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to the wilderness.   Do you know whether you are led by the Holy Spirit to where you are now?  Or is it money, prestige, power and ambition that brought you where you are now?

Jesus was led to the solitude of the wilderness in preparation for his mission and ministry.  Have you detached yourself from the distractions “busyness” to pray and reflect on your role and ministry in the Kingdom of God?

Jesus’ integrity as the Son of God was tested when he was tempted to ignore God’s time and will in seeking food, protection, and land (property) for himself.  Do you pass that integrity test when you are tempted to ignore God’s time and plan to provide you food, protection, and property? Lent is a testing time.  It is a time of spiritual discipline.  It is a time of preparation for Easter.  Are you fair dinkum in this lent?
